A twin for Fernie

'Member Fernie?

Well, he needed a twin brother. Make that a fraternal twin.
Fernie II1
My BFF's family spent the weekend with us back in January, and her older son (who just turned 5) fell in LOVE with Fernie!

But Fern, he's been around. Kinda dusty and crotchety, with coins in his butt and all. So for T's big-boy birthday, Auntie weez made him his very own Spherey!
Fernie II2
This little guy is almost identical to his bro Fernie, but he's more of a happy-go-lucky type, with a permanent little smile on his face. And his arms and legs are all the same color, a deep, dark blue. (Any Syracuse fans out there? I think these are your colors! ;)) And of course, he's all huggable stuffing. No coins in there!

He's on a road trip with the P.O. right now, waiting for T to name him and squoosh him and call him...well, we'll see. ;)

Seriously, why is that book out of print? Too many cute projects. They should really reprint it.

Can't wait to hear what this little guy is named!

Aww. Cute. I especially love the second picture, where in the background is friendly pervo sockmonster, the word 'penis' bravely peeping out on the tag. :)

Did you ever name him, btw?

Very cute and cheerful! Those are University of Illinois colors, and if my husband were to see this post, he would have to have one.
