Just for the record, I *always* want fries with that.

Finally, here are my McDeras! Serving for one, and quite filling, too.

Now, if you remember, these began their sock incarnation with the Horcrux pattern. About halfway down the legs, I realized that that lace pattern just wasn't fryin' my oil, yaknowwhatimsayin'? Next on the menu came a serving of Primaveras. But, well, let's just say p3togs-at-sock-gauge and I have agreed to disagree. Back to the frog pond.

After a few bleary-eyed sessions in front of the 'puter trying to find something that clicked, I finally settled on Hedera. And oh baby, talk about your Happy Meal - I LOVED this pattern!

It's like a Happy Meal on the feet! But, not gross like it sounds.

Hedera is one of those brilliantly fun-but-easy stitch patterns that you can memorize after one pass, but thoroughly enjoy the whole way through. I enjoyed these so much in fact, I actually did all 14 repeats on the leg! (I generally go for a slightly shorter leg. Probably because I'm a slightly shorter person and it's just ingrained.)

The only mods I made were very minor - an extra 2 rows on the cuff, an EoP heel flap, a couple of p2togs on the last foot repeat to even up the toe count, and a slightly wider toe.

ETA: SJ, thanks for reminding me! I forgot to mention, in addition to subbing in an EoP heel flap, I also made the flap itself (and resulting gusset) shorter. If memory serves, I stopped at 32 rows. With sock patterns, I usually just follow the stitch pattern and ignore all the instructions about the flap/turn/gusset/toe in favor of my standard counts.

In addition to being tons of fun in the sandbox, Hedera played surprisingly well with the way this colorway striped up. It's also nice and stretchy, and the fit is a spot on match. Take all that together, and this pattern definitely earned a spot in the weezafave vault, right next to Embossed Leaves!

Yarn thoughts
This is Sereknity Sock Options in Fiery Maple. It's a somewhat loosely plied yarn, but doesn't unspin while you're knitting. And, as you can see, the colors are just fantastic. Bright, bold, beautiful, the kind of colors that can't help but brighten your mood (and after two frogged pattern attempts, believe me, I needed it)! Excellent stitch definition as well.

The feel of the yarn is a little hard to describe. It's slightly-above-average soft, not sproingy, very sturdy and strong. On the feet, they feel nice. Not OMG-I-want-to-sleep-with-my-feet, but not AHH-get-these-off-me. Somewhere in the middle. (Man, I can really paint a picture, can't I?)

I don't think the dye bled in the wash - it appears I didn't secure the stopper properly and the water did a slow drain while they were soaking. But there was no fading upon drying, very little pilling, and the colors didn't run together (always a fear with red) . I sense they will wear very well!

So, that'll be one fabulous fitting sock FO with a side of happy colors and some supersized fun! Great, drive up to the window, please!
